In addition, he also assisted a number of photographers from the Magnum Photos agency.
Briefly working In New York, for Conde Nast and Hearst magazines, he then moved to Paris where he worked for a number of French, Italian and German magazines and fashion advertising clients. Advertising clients included, Saks Fifth Ave. (under contract in NYC), Lancome, Revillon and YSL and Christian Dior menswear.
Donald’s Fine Art’s photography (DAM-photo) continued throughout his career.
Most recently the 2023 photo installation…..SHAME!!! …..a photographic confrontation with the appalling, inhumane consequences for those being homeless in New York City. NYC, arguably one of the richest cities in the entire world!
Originally installed at the Church of St. Francis Xavier, the installation as well as prints, have also been exhibited at the National Arts Club. Donald’s plan is to continue indefinitely bringing the installation to the attention of all concerned with this appalling plague in our city and country.
